Housing and Homelessness

Are you sleeping on the streets or on a friend’s sofa? Worried about losing your tenancy or how to go about finding your own place? Not sure where to go next or who to turn to? Our friendly ZAP (Zone Accommodation Project) team based in Plymouth City Centre are available throughout the week offering one off and ongoing support.

We can give you information and advice about housing and homelessness to help support you in your situation. We can talk with you about your options and help you find accommodation either with family or friends, in supported housing or in the private rented sector.

You can contact us to arrange to talk with someone about your situation and we can also offer ongoing one-to-one support if you are at risk of homelessness or want support settling into or maintaining a tenancy.

Together with your worker you will be able to look at your housing and support needs and together draw up a support plan.

Whatever your situation we always suggest that you contact The Zone as soon as possible so we can explore your housing options with you.

The Plymouth Alliance

The Zone are part of ‘The Plymouth Alliance’, a partnership of local charities and Plymouth City Council, which  provides support for people who have needs in relation to homelessness and may also have support needs around substance misuse, mental health, offending and risk of exploitation.

The aim of the alliance is to enable people to be supported flexibly, receiving the right care, at the right time in the right place. To help us to do this we share information within the Plymouth Alliance. You can find out more by taking a look at our information sharing leaflet. If you have any questions or concerns please speak with your worker who will be happy to help.
